The Weekend Australian Art Sydney 07 took place from 26 - 28 October at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, where over 13,000 art lovers gathered for Sydney's premier art buying experience.  

2008's Weekend Australian Art Sydney will take place from 24 - 26 October 2008.  

The Weekend Australian Art Sydney brings together over 80 galleries from Australia and overseas, showcasing an extensive range of art to buy from 100's of artists from contemporary to traditional, emerging artists to investment pieces.

The fair's ethos of a relaxed, accessible environment invites both first-time buyers and seasoned collectors to seek out hot new artists and to browse the thousands of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, indigenous works and works on paper, including limited edition prints. 

Highlights at The Weekend Australian Art Sydney 07

World renowned artists, free art walks, hot new talent and the emerging art stars of the future were combined under one roof at The Weekend Australian Art Sydney. 

The Fair included solo exhibitions from Margaret Woodward at Collins and Kent Fine Art and Tim Storrier at Metro 5 Gallery with first time exhibitions of Serengeti Still Life and Mambua.

Visitors saw David Bromley and John Olsen at Tim Olsen Gallery; Martine Edmur and Josh Yeldham at ARTHOUSE Gallery; Telstra winning artist Dennis Nona from Australian Art Print Network; Hot Young Photographer Matthew Sleeth from Josef Lebovic Gallery; New York City based Antony Lister at Harrison Galleries; Matthys Gerber and John Marwurndjul at Annandale Gallery as well as Ben Edols, Australia’s most highly regarded glass blower who exhibited with Object.

Off The Wall, supported by Belle offered a unique opportunity to invest in a selection of cutting-edge works from unrepresented, emerging artists and buy at entry level prices.
